A class party sign-up sheet for food, supplies and a couple of helpers, with a count on each so you get a little of everything. Parents claim what they'll bring, and the sheet shows what's still needed right up to the party.

How to set it up

  1. Check the listIt starts with plates, cups, drinks, food and two jobs. Change any count to suit the class, and add a row for a craft or a game if there is one.
  2. Add the detailsPut the date, the time, and what the school allows in the description: many classes are nut-free, and some don't allow homemade food at all.
  3. Send the linkShare it in the class newsletter or the parents' group chat. Families don't need an account, and it works on any phone.
  4. Check what's leftYour private link shows every row and how full it is. A few days before, share the link again and say what's still missing.

What helps

  • Ask the teacher about allergies in the class before you share it, and put any foods to avoid in the description.
  • Fruit and veggies go fast at a class party. Two families on that row is rarely too many.
  • A parent who can't bring food can often spare twenty minutes to help clean up. The job rows give them a way to join in.
  • “Make a copy” on your private link starts the next party's sheet with the same rows and nobody on it.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

We're having a class party, and we'd love a hand with food and supplies.

Questions people ask

Do parents need an account?
No. They open the link, pick a row, type their name and press “Sign me up”. An email is optional, and anyone who leaves one gets a copy of what they signed up for.
Can a family bring more than one thing?
Yes, they can pick several rows at once. Turn on “One sign-up each” if you'd rather each family took just one.
Can I see what people are bringing?
Your private link shows every row, who took it and their note. Notes are only shown to you, so the note is the place to ask parents what they're bringing.
