Thanksgiving dinner sign-up sheet

Who brings what, now that the turkey's covered.

A Thanksgiving dinner sign-up sheet for everything but the turkey, with a count on each dish so nothing arrives four times. Family and friends claim a side or a pie, and you can see what's still missing at a glance.

How to set it up

  1. Check the listIt starts with the classic sides and three pies. Add the dishes your family can't do without, and take off any you're making yourself.
  2. Add the detailsPut the time to arrive, the address, and whether there's oven space in the description.
  3. Send the linkText it to the family. Nobody needs an account.
  4. Fill the gapsYour private link shows what's still open. Gravy and rolls are the usual stragglers.

What helps

  • Oven space runs out first. Ask people to bring dishes that are ready to serve, or that reheat in the microwave.
  • Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October, and American Thanksgiving the fourth Thursday in November. Set the date to match.
  • If someone has a favourite dish they bring every year, put their name in the description so nobody else takes it.
  • Containers to send leftovers home in are worth a row of their own.

Something to send with the link
