Free SignUpGenius alternative, with no ads
If you run sign-up sheets on SignUpGenius, Whenabouts does the same job for free, with no ads on the page your volunteers see and no account for them. Here's how the two compare, from SignUpGenius's own pages.

What else Whenabouts does
- Two people can never take the last place: however close together they press the button, one gets it and the other is asked to pick again.
- More than a hundred templates that fill in the rows, times or days for you.
- Scheduling polls and RSVPs from the same place, without an account.
- Pages for a school, a youth team or a faith group keep to adults' names and load nothing from anybody else's site.
- Every page works with JavaScript switched off, on any phone.
When SignUpGenius might suit you better
- You collect money: dues, tickets or donations. SignUpGenius has payments built in, and Whenabouts doesn't take payments.
- You want reminders to go out by themselves on a free plan. SignUpGenius includes them, and a Whenabouts sheet only reminds people on a paid plan.
- You need tickets with QR scanning, an online store, or several administrators on one account.
Questions people ask
- Is Whenabouts really free?
- Yes. Free has no time limit and no card to enter. A free page takes up to 200 responses, and a sign-up sheet up to 200 rows. A free page that nobody has answered for 12 months is deleted, with a warning first.
- Can I copy my SignUpGenius sheets over?
- There's no import, but most sheets take a minute: start from a template, check the rows, and share the link.
- Do volunteers get a calendar file?
- Yes, for anything with a time on it, when they leave an email. Things to bring and one-a-day rows have no time, so there's no calendar file for those.
