How to set it up

  1. Check the SundaysIt starts with eight Sundays from next Sunday, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, two hosts each. Change the time to when coffee hour runs, and take off any Sunday it isn't held.
  2. Say what hosts doPut the jobs in the description: where the coffee and cups are kept, what to bring, and how to leave the kitchen.
  3. Send the linkPut it in the bulletin or the weekly email, or print the QR code for the back table. Nobody needs an account.
  4. Fill the empty SundaysYour private link shows which Sundays still need hosts. Mention them in the announcements the week before.

What helps

  • Two hosts a Sunday makes it a pleasure rather than a chore, and newcomers can pair with someone who knows where things are.
  • A printed QR code on the coffee table brings in people who never read the email.
  • If you'd like a regular rotation of the same people, a list of people keeps track of who has hosted. It needs a free account.
  • For the next couple of months, start again from this template: the Sundays are dated from the day you make it.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

Questions people ask

Can one person take several Sundays?
Yes. They can pick as many as they like in one go, unless you turn on “One sign-up each”.
Do hosts get a reminder?
Each one gets a confirmation with a calendar file, so the Sunday is on their phone. You can also message everyone who signed up from your private link.
Is it suitable for a church?
Yes. Pages for a faith group ask whoever makes them to enter adults' names only, ask people to keep medical and personal details out of their notes, and load nothing from anybody else's site.
