How to set it up
- Set the service timesIt starts with four Sundays at 9:30 am, two greeters each. Change the time to before your service, and add rows for a second service.
- Say what greeters doPut it in the description: handing out bulletins, welcoming newcomers, showing people where things are.
- Send the linkShare it in the weekly email or the bulletin. Nobody needs an account.
- Look aheadYour private link shows the month at a glance. Next month, start a new sheet from this template so the Sundays are dated.
What helps
- Pair a regular greeter with somebody new to the job. It's the friendliest way to learn.
- A greeter who knows where the restrooms, the nursery and the coffee are is worth more than a script.
- For two services, add a row for each, so greeters can pick the one they attend.
- If a Sunday is still empty midweek, “Tell people something” reaches everyone already on the sheet, who are likeliest to cover it.
Something to send with the link

Questions people ask
- Can I cover two services on one sheet?
- Yes. Add a row for each service time on each Sunday before you make it, and greeters pick the one they attend.
- Can greeters swap Sundays?
- Each greeter can change their own Sunday from the link in their confirmation email, as long as the one they want has room.
- Who sees greeters' email addresses?
- Only you and anybody helping you run the page. They're never shown on the page.
