Set the date and placePick the day, check the times, and put the venue in “Where” with a map link. For a whole weekend, fill in “Ends on”.
Decide on guestsEach answer can bring up to six more, so one person can answer for a whole household. Set “Total room for” if the venue has a limit.

What helps

Send it months ahead. People who travel need to book, and an early yes is usually a real one.
Ask one person per household to answer, with everyone else as guests, so nobody is counted twice.
Set “Stop taking responses after” for the day the venue or caterer needs numbers.
Under “Tell people something”, you can paste the addresses of relatives who haven't answered, and each gets one email asking.
